The importance of keeping a journal

Here is a really good example of why to keep a Journal. I was talking with a friend this morning. While I was talking I recalled a dream I had had several years ago. One that had plagued me for years, I never knew the meaning, or understood it. Here we were talking and I had that "ah ha" moment! I searched for an hour through 4 different journals, and finally found it. What I had written was exactly what I had remembered. The interesting part was that the dates I had written in for the dream were July 6-12 2009. The dream consisted of several elements and a Woman (The Goddess) handing me a shell. Several months ago I started to think of shells, I got a bit obsessed with them, then waters on the east coast. I booked us a vacation on the Chesapeake Bay this July. The dates are July 5-12 2013 (interesting correlation). So here I am in AZ focusing on water, and shells I had the urge to book this very expensive vacation, on the water. I don't know what it will bring, but I now know how important it will be to my path. A prediction of a future milestone....... Even if you don't journal everyday, journal when you can, date them, and keep them. It took 4 years, but now I have a huge piece to a puzzle for my own spiritual path.............
